Vladimir Kochetkov

(b. 10/13/1960)

Vladimir Kochetkov was born in the working settlement of Surskoye, Ulyanovsk Region. Graduated from the Buzuluk Forestry College (1980), Ulyanovsk Pedagogical Institute named after I. N. Ulyanov (1991). He worked in the Sursky forestry, Voluntary Sports Society "Urozhay", in the district committee of the Komsomol, as a teacher of the children's environmental center, currently - a teacher of geography in the Sursky secondary school.

Traveler, special correspondent of the magazine "Physical culture and sport". Member of the Russian Geographical Society. Made a circumnavigation a 100,000-kilometer cycling trip through Asia, Europe, America, Australia, and Africa; with his students, he traveled more than 30,000 kilometers across Russia, Europe, and the United States. Author of prose books "To the End of the Earth", "When Legends Come to Life", "Geography Lesson", "House near Nikolskaya Gora". Member of the Union of Journalists and the Union of Writers of Russia.
