Competition of creative works "My Goncharov - my Russia"

Simbirsk-Ulyanovsk is the birthplace of the great Russian writer, traveler, statesman Ivan Aleksandrovich Goncharov. Ulyanovsk Regional Museum named after I.A. Goncharov and its branch - the Historical and Memorial Center-Museum of I.A. Goncharov for many years maintain and develop traditions aimed at popularizing the life and work of the famous fellow countryman at the international, all-Russian and interregional levels. 2022 marks the 210th anniversary of the birth of I.A. Goncharov and 170 years since the beginning of his famous journey on the frigate Pallada, which ended with his return through the Far East and Siberia to St. Petersburg.
In 2022, for the anniversaries associated with the life and work of the writer, as part of the preparation of ceremonial events, the Ulyanovsk Regional Museum of Local Lore named after I.A. Goncharova announces a competition of creative works "My Goncharov - my Russia", which will increase interest in the study of I.A. Goncharov and national literature, the development of the creative and research potential of young people, the formation of civic identity and patriotism. The works submitted to the Competition will allow you to look from the 21st century on the territories described by I.A. Goncharov in his works, to feel all the diversity of nature, cultural traditions, and the identity of the peoples of the Russian Federation.
The organizer of the Competition is the Regional State Budgetary Institution of Culture “Ulyanovsk Regional Museum of Local Lore named after I.A. Goncharov”, partners and co-organizers of the competition are the Ulyanovsk regional branch of the all-Russian organization “Association of Teachers of Literature and the Russian Language” and MBOU “Mariinsky Gymnasium” (Ulyanovsk).
Competition goals:
- increasing interest in the study of I.A. Goncharov and national literature in general;
- development of creative and research potential of youth;
- development of interregional humanitarian cooperation;
- formation of civil identity and patriotism.
Competition objectives:
- collection of video material about the places visited by the writer during his journey;
- development of skills for creating videos, infographics, formation of IT competencies of the participants of the competition;
- education of literary and artistic taste, promotion of the development of the creative and intellectual potential of participants through the creation of essays, theatricalization, photography;
- popularization of family reading, strengthening intra-family communications;
- drawing attention to the cultural heritage and natural attractions of the country's regions.
The competition is open in terms of composition of participants. Any individuals (citizens of the Russian Federation residing on the territory of the Russian Federation) over the age of 12 can take part in the Contest. Evaluation of competitive works is carried out in 2 (two) age categories:
- 12-17 years old inclusive;
- 18 years and older.
The competition is held in the following categories:
1. “We read I.A. Goncharova. Flashmob or recitation;
2. “Staging favorite fragments from the works of I.A. Goncharova. video clip;
3. “I.A. Goncharov and my land. Essay;
4. “I.A. Goncharov and the present. Essay;
5. “My illustrations for the works of I.A. Goncharova";
6. “These places are remembered by I.A. Goncharova. Photo study or series of photographs.
