A poetry night dedicated to female authors of the Silver Age in Russia was held on 
the 28th of July at the library №17. Event brought together 10 women completely 
different in their occupation, who presented the works of forgotten poetesses of the 
20th century. Participants read several poems and provided the audience with 
biographical information about each poetess. 

Participants have learned about Margarita Aliger, Natalia Astafieva, Sofia Parnok, 
Nadezhda Teffi, Rimma Kazakova, Vera Gedroits, Vera Rudich, Vera Arens, 
Elizaveta Polonskaya and Bella Akhmadulina. Their art was presented by 
Perelyotnaya festival manager Liana Velichko, Wella studio stylist and colorist 
Elena Renzhina, director and head of the Sunday Theater Studio 
EkaterinaYaheeva, fitness instructor and head of GraniClub Elena Batova, graphic 
designer Yana Soulstamina, young poet and member of Ulyanovsk UNESCO City  
of Literature deputy Polina Nikolaeva, transformational psychologist and coach 
tracker Svetlana Puzan, image stylist Natalya Ryzhikova, DJ Olga Voskresenskaya 
and translator and member of Ulyanovsk UNESCO City of Literature deputy 
Vlada Solntseva. 

At the end of the event, participants and listeners shared their impressions. Some 
have learned more about poetesses’ lives, some told us they got inspired to learn 
more about newly discovered poetesses.
