Which of the Simbirsk dishes could have Pushkin enjoyed? 190 years ago he visited Simbirsk and he loved the city.

On August, 25 at 11AM you will embark on a gastronomical journey called 'Yes, Pushkin!' where you will learn how Pushkin met famous people of Simbirsk – Yazykov brothers, Zagryazhski governor, Pyotr Yurlov, the leader of the nobility. You will also hear about the supposed gastronomic maps of the 19th century feasts and feel the atmosphere of old Simbirsk.

Presentation of the project "Yes, Pushkin!" will be held at the Arcadia Arts Festival and at the "Crossroads. Literature" International Festival of UNESCO Cities.

At the beginning of the route, everyone will get a chance to taste Pushkin's favorite drink - champagne - and "Strasbourg's imperishable pie" - a fragrant apple pie. The poet gracefully described their gastronomic qualities in the novel "Eugene Onegin".

The tour will end with a tasting of traditional Simbirsk dishes, which Alexander Pushkin himself once tried. Skilled chefs will cook a tartlet with pike caviar, tender beef roast on brioche. Not enough? You will enjoy the original taste of Pozharsky cutlet on a skewer and try baked potatoes with spicy sour cream sauce.

Our route will run from St. Goncharova, 40 (Khinkalnaya "Khmeli-kartveli") to the literary museum "House of Yazykovykh" and Karamzin Square. We will visit the esplanade where the Governor's Palace stood, the embankment of the Volga river, Theater Square, a monument to Suvorov and the cadet corps. Our trip will end with a visit to the NINO restaurant on Goncharova Street, 18.

The tour format including wine and food tasting is only available to participants aged 18 and over.

Tour starting point: St. Goncharova, 40.

Ticket: 1500 rub. Pre-registration is required.
