
From November 1, 2020, the acceptance of applications for the annual Interregional Poetry Prize named after Nikolai Blagov is announced.
The award was established in 2012 by a decree of the government of the Ulyanovsk region, and in 2017 it acquired the status of an interregional one. The purpose of the award is to develop the literary creativity of the regions of the Volga Federal District, promote and bring together talented poets of the Volga region who can make a worthy contribution to Russian literature, glorify the Volga River, and perpetuate the memory of the poet Nikolai Blagov.
The Prize is currently awarded in three categories:
– “Countrymen of Blagov” (continuation of the poetic traditions of Nikolai Blagov and Russian classical poetry by poets permanently residing in the Ulyanovsk region); the amount of the award is 150,000 rubles.
- "Volzhskaya pristan" (continuation of the poetic traditions of Nikolai Blagov and Russian classical poetry by poets permanently residing in the Volga Federal District); the amount of the award is 150,000 rubles.
– “Loyalty to tradition” (continuation of the poetic traditions of Nikolai Blagov’s work by young talented authors under the age of 39); the amount of the award is 100,000 rubles.
The total prize fund of the award is 400,000 rubles.
A package of documents from authors nominated for the award is accepted in printed and electronic form at the address: 432017, Ulyanovsk, per. Karamzin 3/2, Palace of the book, reception; to e-mail lib@uonb.ru marked "Blagov Prize".
Applications are accepted until November 30, 2020.
