In the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, each city is associated with one of its leading figures of literature. Ulyanovsk - represented by writer and literary critic Ivan Aleksandrovich Goncharov. Goncharov is known all over the world thanks to the novels "Ordinary History", "Cliff", "Oblomov" and the travel book "Pallada Frigate".
This year we celebrate the 210th anniversary of the birth of our great countryman. As part of the celebration of the anniversary of Goncharov, on June 18 at 14.00 we are going to read the novel "Oblomov" in a cozy cafe "Tramcoffe" at the address - Karl Marx Street, 22.
We will read a fragment of "Oblomov's Dream", where the protagonist of the novel recalls his carefree childhood in his native land. You can remember your childhood at the master class "Patchwork Horse" from Natalia Lyadova.
