In 2021, the "Books" competition, organized by the Central Library System of Ulyanovsk, runs from July 20 to August 20.

Anyone can take part in the competition, for this it is necessary:

- be a reader of the library or become one by signing up for the library during the period of the competition;

- visit the library at least three times during the month and read at least ten books.

The results of the competition will be announced in the following age categories: grade 1-2, grade 3-4, grade 5-7. The list of winners of the competition will be published on the MBUK Centralized Library System website (www.mukcbs.org/) and on social networks of libraries. In the final of the competition, videos with recommendations for reading the best books in the opinion of the most reading schoolchildren will appear on the social networks of city libraries.

The most active "books" will take part in the children's party.

This year, the holiday will be held on August 29 at 12.00 in the model Central City Library named after I.A. Goncharov (for the winners of the competition in the Leninsky and Zheleznodorozhny districts), the model library No. 18 "Family Library" (for the winners of the Zasviyazhsky district), the model library No. 12 named after V.I.Dal (for the winners of the competition in the Zavolzhsky district).
