On December 15, a meeting will be held in Ulyanovsk with the writer, poet, journalist, screenwriter of the Smeshariki series Igor Shevchuk.

Igor Shevchuk is a writer and journalist, poet, screenwriter, board game developer, songwriter, librettist. Member of the Union of Writers, member of the Union of Journalists.

Born on August 17, 1960 in Leningrad. In 1982 he graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of St. Petersburg State University, Department of Modern Periodicals. Since the 1980s, he has been known as a journalist for the Leninskie Iskry newspaper, and also as an absurdist children's poet. 1987 - 1999 - compiler, member of the editorial board and regular author of the children's magazines "Tram" (along with such poets as Tim Sobakin, Andrey Usachev) "Murzilka", "Funny Pictures", "Bonfire", "Cucumber", "Sparkle", "Pioneer", "Troublemaker", "A bunch of small", "Thunderball", as well as the editor of the department of games and puzzles in "Piggy and company".

One of the authors of the Smeshariki project, the author of the title. Screenwriter of the series "Smeshariki" and "Fixies".

Collaborated with most of the most famous artists of the late XX-early XXI century. The works of such joint creativity of Igor Shevchuk and various illustrators were published in different years by the most influential publishing houses in Russia: Astrel-SPb, Azbuka, Children's Time, Golden Lion, Meshcheryakov Publishing House, Compass Guide, Labyrinth”, “Kid”, “Onyx”, “Scooter”, “Egmont”, “Eksmo” and others.

Awards: State Prize named after Korney Ivanovich Chukovsky in the nomination "For the development of innovative traditions of Korney Chukovsky in modern Russian children's literature."

The opening of the exhibition will take place as part of the Cultural Dialogue: Meetings in the Provinces program. Organizer - MBUK "Centralized Library Association" with the support of the Russian Cultural Foundation and the Department of Culture and Leisure of the Population of the Administration of the City of Ulyanovsk. This is a cultural and educational program for the residents of the city of Ulyanovsk, within the framework of which a series of cultural events and meetings will take place.
