December 8th. Meeting of the writers of Heidelberg and Ulyanovsk. Festival "Days of Germany"

On December 8, during the international festival "Days of Germany", an online meeting of writers from two UNESCO literary cities - Ulyanovsk and Heidelberg - will take place. The topic of the meeting is "Art feat. Literature". Everyone is welcome to join the event as listeners.

Days of Germany

The authors will discuss the relationship between literature and other arts: how other arts inspire writers to write, how literature can inspire people to create other arts.

Moderator – Dr. Katharina Dueck (b. 1982), poet, philosopher and linguist (Leibniz Institute for the German Language), teaches at the University of Mannheim. Co-founder of the poetry collective KAMINA in Heidelberg (2011) and the literary network TeXtur in Neustadt (2017).

Autors:

Irina Bogatyreva (Moscow-Ulyanovsk) - writer, folklorist, musician. Author of 9 books of prose, incl. "Kadyn", "Vedyana", "White Sogra" and others. Stories and novellas were translated into English, French, Chinese and other languages. Regular contributor to literary magazines. Winner and finalist of several literary awards, incl. Student Booker, Kniguru and awards to them. S. Mikhalkov on literature for teenagers. Member of the Writers' Union of Moscow and the International Writers' Organization "PEN Moscow". Plays the jew's harp in the "Tikhiy Omut" ensemble.

Sergey Gogin (Ulyanovsk)

Born in 1964 in Uralsk. In 1981 he graduated from secondary school No. 1 in Ulyanovsk, in 1986 - from the Ulyanovsk Polytechnic Institute. He worked at the regional radio and television, in the city newspaper "Simbirsky Courier", hosted the author's program at the TRK "Europroject", worked in the journal "Journalism and Media Market". In 1996, he graduated from the American University in Washington, D.C. with a degree in journalism and mass communications. From 2014 to 2017 on the stage of the Ulyanovsk Regional Drama Theater there was a one-act play "A Little Man with a Big Heart" based on Sergei Gogin's free verse cycle "About a Little Man", today this performance is in the repertoire of the Ulyanovsk Youth Theater. Since September 2014, he has been the head of the Eight literary studio, and since February 2016, he has been leading the Crossroads English conversation club. The author's publications in literary journals can be read in the Journal Hall.

Miriam Tag (Heidelberg) - poet, philosopher

Jean-Michel Raber (Heidelberg) is a playwright who wrote more than 20 plays, monologues in which he played himself. In 2006 he received the Baden-Württemberg Youth Theater Prize. In January 2022, his play Paarlaufen II will premiere simultaneously at the Ingolstadt Theater and the German National Theatre. In 2019, together with Alexei Khrabskov, he took part in the Oblomov-Stolz literary and theatrical project in Ulyanovsk.
