June 5-7. Festival "Pushkin in the city of U." online
05.06.2020

Annual city festival "Pushkin in the city of U." will take place online this year. On the occasion of the celebration of the birthday of the poet Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin, from June 5 to 7, 2020, several online events will be held in the Ulyanovsk - UNESCO City of Literature program.

The general partner of the festival is the All-Russian Museum of A.S. Pushkin (St. Petersburg). The organizer of the festival is the Centralized Library System with the support of the Department of Culture and Leisure of the Population of the Administration of the City of Ulyanovsk.

Promotions, a lecture hall, a vernissage, lectures, a drawing competition for the works of A.S. Pushkin's "Golden Cockerel" and much more.

The city festival starts on June 5th. On this day, library No. 2 named after. N.G. Zyrina prepared an online crossword "All about Pushkin" for readers (2.mukcbs.org). By answering the questions of the crossword, its participants, for example, will be able to find out their favorite writer Pushkin, Pushkin's nickname in the Lyceum and more.

On the website of the Centralized Library System (www.mukcbs.org), readers will be waiting for the online plein air of the same name "Pushkin in the city of U."

Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin was proud of his family tree, both on the side of his father and on the side of his mother. The chronicle of the life of the poet's ancestors was closely intertwined with the heroic past of the state. You can get to know the poet's family better at the online lecture hall, which will be held on the official page of the library No. A.S. Pushkin in the social network "Vkontakte" (vk.com/biblion24).

On June 6, throughout the day, the action "Living Pushkin's Word" will be held on the pages of libraries. Anyone can become a participant and join the program by reading an excerpt from the works of Alexander Pushkin and posting it online with the hashtag #PushkinincityU2020. The campaign will be launched by famous Ulyanovsk poets and writers, as well as media people of the city.

You can enjoy the illustrations created for Pushkin's tales on the page of the library No. A.S. Pushkin (vk.com/biblion24).

In the biography of Alexander Pushkin there are many intersections with Simbirsk. The Pushkin clan was connected with Simbirsk even before the birth of the poet - two of his ancestors were governors of Simbirsk in the 17th century. The poet participated in the subscription for the construction of the monument to N.M. Karamzin, undertaken on the initiative of the Simbirsk nobility. Simbirsk Governor Zagryazhsky is the cousin of Natalia Goncharova. Less well known, but no less important, is the fact that the great-great-grandson of Alexander Pushkin was buried on the territory of the Voznesensky necropolis in Ulyanovsk.

Pushkin came to visit his friend, the poet Nikolai Yazykov. You can learn more about this and many other things by listening to the online lecture "Pushkin and Simbirsk" on the website of the library No. B.V. Arzhantsev (25.mukcbs.org).

The festival will end with an exhibition of competitive drawings for the works of A.S. Pushkin "The Golden Cockerel" (www.mukcbs.org).
