On the eve of the International Mother's Day, festive events will be held in the libraries of Ulyanovsk from November 23 to 30.
Mother's Day is an international holiday in honor of mothers. In Russia, Mother's Day is celebrated on the last Sunday of November. In 2021, it falls on November 28 and is officially celebrated for the 24th time.

On November 23 at 14.00 in the model library No. 12 named after V.I. Dahl, a festive evening "The world is beautiful with maternal love" will take place. The program includes a literary and musical composition based on poems and songs by Ulyanovsk poets, a meeting with Ulyanovsk authors Elizaveta Musatova and Nina Davydova.

At 15.00, the Family Model Library No. 18 invites its readers to the festive program "The name of my angel is Mom". The concert program will be continued by the ensemble "Songs of Autumn".

On November 24, at 10.30, the festive program "Image, carefully preserved" will be held in the library No. 6 named after D.A. Granin, and on the 25th at 14.00 - the literary composition "A tale from the heart and soul about how good mothers are" in the children's specialized library No. 28 named after A.A. Plastov. Children will remember proverbs and songs about their mother, answer questions from a culinary quiz, where they will try to guess a dish by name, come up with new properties for household appliances.

On November 26, the staff of the Library No. 2 named after N.G. Zyrin is invited to the literary composition "Many songs about mother sung" at 15.00.
On November 28, at 14.00, the M.Y. Lermontov Library No. 22 will host a thematic evening "Everything that is tender and passionate in a woman", and on November 29, at 15.00, citizens and guests of the city are invited by Library No. 1 "World of Arts" to the program "Mother's Day - a holy celebration".
On November 30 at 13.00 in library No. 7 "Library of great discoveries named after A.F. Treshnikov" the festive program "My mother is the most, the most" will take place. The library staff will introduce the participants to the history of the holiday, as well as present to their attention compositions dedicated to mothers.

The events will be held in compliance with sanitary and epidemiological standards, with 50% occupancy of the auditorium. The access system will work according to a QR code, a vaccination certificate, a PCR test or a certificate confirming a COVID-19 disease.
