«Street Design Challenge 2022»
16.09.2022

The Directorate of the Ulyanovsk-UNESCO City of Literature program invites everyone to take part in the street design challenge for the creative cities of Curitiba (Brazil), Querétaro (Mexico) and Wuhan (China) - Street Design Challenge 2022.
The Street Design Challenge 2022 will take place from November 12 to 14, 2022 and is a two-day competition where university students from around the world share their vision of how public space design can improve the quality of life.

This year, entrants will be asked to create a proposal for a suburban street redevelopment using biophilic design within 48 hours*. The challenge aims to raise awareness on the issues raised by the COP27 conference in November, as well as on the impact of climate change on the urban environment, its damage to the quality of urban life and the necessary actions to transform cities into more livable, pleasant and inclusive.

Hurry up to apply for participation, registration will end on September 18, 2022.

More information about the Street Design Challenge 2022 and the registration form can be found at: https://en.unesco.org/creative-cities/events/call-participation-street-d...

* Biophilic design has been evolving since the 1980s, when biologist Edward O. Wilson outlined his philosophy of biophilia by hypothesizing that humans have an innate biological connection to nature.
