On September 11, on City Day, Ulyanovsk will host the UNESCO Creative Cities Festival Crossroads.

The city center will bring together musicians, artisans, restaurateurs and writers from Russian cities included in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, including:

Ulyanovsk - "City of Literature" since 2015
Kargopol - "City of crafts and folk art"" since 2019
St. Petersburg - "City of gastronomy" since 2021.

The Crossroads festival program will be presented at four thematic venues:

Fair of products of Kargopol and Ulyanovsk artisans: manufacturers of handmade clothes, jewelry and cosmetics, toys, souvenirs and decor items made in the author's technique.
Exhibition and sale of books and printed products of second-hand book dealers in Ulyanovsk and Kazan, printing houses and publishing houses "House of Printing", "Master Studio", "Venets", bookstore "Book +". Poets and writers of Ulyanovsk will speak at the Open Microphone with a story about their books, and representatives of the literary magazine "Moscow" will present a new issue of the publication.
Interactive platforms and exhibitions from the libraries of the city, a master class on creating a book character from an illustrator.
