On July 14, a film based on the story of the Ulyanovsk writer Gala Uzryutova was released in Russian distribution. The film had its world premiere at the 72nd Berlin International Film Festival in the Generation program.

"Country Sasha" is a film that tells about the life of a 17-year-old teenager who finds it difficult to decide on the future and build a serious relationship. The hero blames his father for his indecision, because he left him in childhood. Ahead of the hero is a time of change—acquaintance with an unusual girl and a meeting with his father. These events make the young man grow up and look at life differently.

The film was directed by Yulia Trofimova, and the roles were played by Mark Eidelstein, Maria Matsel, Maxim Shpakovsky, Daria Rumyantseva and others.
