The translation center of the Ulyanovsk - "UNESCO City of Literature" program continues its work!

The second group of 2nd year graduate student trainees of the Institute of International Relations, Faculty of Linguistics, Intercultural Relations and Professional Communication of Ulyanovsk State University (Terekhina Anastasia, Dilakyan Ani, Alieva Diana, Krasheninnikova Ekaterina, Skvortsova Ksenia, Parfenova Maria, Temple Mohammad) appreciated the work of the center.

These students were offered to translate articles from the "Simbirsk" magazine, works by Ulyanovsk authors (Natalia Dzhukovich's poem "Patchwork" and a collection of stories by Valery Eremin), as well as the release of the anthology "The Only Question". Students got the opportunity to work on translation together with professionals and native speakers and a chance to try their hand at literary translation. Thus, the works of local authors will be translated into a foreign language, and readers from other countries will be able to get acquainted with their work.

According to a foreign student from Lebanon, Khram Mohamad, the preparation of literary translations of texts from various Ulyanovsk publications is an excellent chance to realize one's abilities, as well as to practice the acquired knowledge.
