On April 25-30, 2022, Ulyanovsk will host the "I International Art Residence for Creative Industries". The organizer is ANO "Cluster of Creative Industries" and the "Ulyanovsk - Cultural Capital" Foundation. The goal of the project is the development and support of creators in the conditions of collaboration of technologies and creativity. The participants of the Art Residence will be creative youth and creative businesses from different regions of the Russian Federation, under the strict guidance of eminent experts from Russia and foreign countries. The event will be held in seven flagship areas of the region's industries: "cinema, animation and videography", "music and sound design", "visual fine arts", "media, journalism and advertising", "architecture and urban studies", "fashion" and " IT mobile developments.
Acceptance of applications for participation in the I International ART-Residence of creative industries is over. 416 applicants from 16 regions of Russia applied for participation in 7 areas of the region's creative industries.
The result of the Art Residency will be the creation of new, high-quality creative regional products that are competitive, including in the foreign market.
As part of the final stage of the project, on April 29, 2022, the Creative Industries Festival of the Ulyanovsk Region will be held at the Aquamall shopping center with a presentation of the leading regional creative businesses and their successful products.
The festival will combine various areas of the creative industries of the region: music, cinema, fashion, choreography, craft, architecture, fine arts, and IT technologies. The festival program will include musical performances by Ulyanovsk bands and solo artists, fashion shows of new collections from regional designers, exciting master classes from famous choreographic studios, and much more.
One of the brightest venues of the festival will be a regional craft fair with the participation of creative entrepreneurs from Ulyanovsk and Dimitrovgrad, as well as technology holders from the rural settlements of the region.
The festival will present the most striking projects developed within the framework of the 1st International Art Residence for Creative Industries.
Within the framework of the Festival, the collection of the local ethno brand "Hope&Betty" will be presented, inspired by the motifs of the work of the writer - countryman Aksakov, "The Scarlet Flower", in collaboration with the Ulyanovsk author's jewelry brand "Iva che" and the master of the creative association "Crane". The collection presents a modern interpretation of Slavic sarafans in an attempt to recall our great literary heritage through the applied art of local craftsmen.
